Choosing a Reference Photo

• If you already have a favourite photo of your pet then you may be all set
• If not, think about whether there is a photo that always makes you smile, one that you think perfectly sums up their character? Or maybe a photo that was taken on their favourite walk, a trip to the beach, a holiday you went on together that brings back happy memories?
• A photo doesn’t have to look like it’s come straight from the pages of a magazine, if they look like a supermodel then that’s great, but some of us share our lives with some quirky characters and a photo that captures that cheekiness might be the perfect one for you
• The background doesn’t matter at all! My focus is on capturing your pet so it doesn’t matter what is going on around them
• If you didn’t take the photo yourself then permission from the photographer to use the image is essential
